  • There are different types of medical tools that doctors and nurses use in hospitals
  • Some of these tools are:
  • Bedpans: these are used for going to the bathroom
  • Needle: needles are used to take blood and sometimes to give medicine


  • Otoscope: is something that doctors use to look inside your ears
  • Stethoscope: is what doctors where around their necks. A stethoscope is used to listen to sounds inside your body such as breathing and your heartbeat 


  • Stretcher bed: is a bed on wheels. It is used to move people from various parts of the hospital

    • Thermometer: measures your body temperature. The normal temperature of the human body is 98.6 degrees fahrenheit or 37 centrigrade. Sometimes the thermometer is placed under the tongue


    • Tongue Depressors: are the wooden sticks that doctors use to look inside your mouth
    • Wheelchairs: help people move around who are too weak to walk, people can get others to move theirwheelchairs or they can move around themselves
    • X-RAY machines: is a special camera that takes pictures of the inside of your body. A technician takes your x-rays and they don't hurt at all. It is important to stay still when the x-rays are being taken of your body
