About Dr. Vimla Patel
Dr. Patel is a professor in the department of Medicine and director of the Centre for Medical Education at McGill University. She is a fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Her research interests include cognition, problem solving, and comprehension, cognitive assessment of learning (formal and informal) and instruction, conceptual understanding of scientific knowledge for clinical co-ordination of hypothesis and evidence in the development of expertise and in everyday reasoning about health and disease, cognitive studies of human-computer interaction, medical and health education.
